Oakpark Energy were approached as a Bucks Solar Panel provider to provide technical input and design for the under floor heating and external air source heat pump for the new Scout HQ in Buckingham along with design and installation of Solar Panels to complement the energy conservation scheme for heating and lighting the new building.
While the Scouts administrators were keen to improve the eco-efficiency of the Scout HQ in Buckingham for environmental reasons, it was also important that they keep the long-term costs down to a minimum. As the project developers, we were keen to explore with both Oakpark and the Scouts the benefits of investing in the energy infrastructure with a view to making long-term savings, whilst also contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions.
Oakpark Energy were an extremely constructive company to work with and they liaised well with the main Contractor undertaking the whole project. The solutions their delivered were of a very high standard and we were impressed with the professionalism and expertise of the engineers working on the project. The whole installation was completed within the overall programme for the project and operates very satisfactorily. The Scouts are very pleased with the results and hope to continue to enjoy the benefits for decades to come.
